Lone Oak Area Waterline Replacement, Phases I & II

The Lone Oak region of Paducah Water’s system has experienced numerous main breaks due primarily to system age. The combined Phase I and II projects involved replacement of existing 4-inch and 6-inch AC water mains with approximately 9,000 l.f. of 6-inch restrained joint C900 PVC, 6-inch HDPE and 12-inch DIP water mains along various City streets within the City of Lone Oak.
After conducting detailed topographic and on site engineering surveys, in coordination with utility location efforts, F&H and PW agreed on horizontal directional drilling for a large portion of the project due to the high density residential atmosphere as well as the congested network of telephone, cable, sanitary sewer, and natural gas mains along the alignment.
