Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTIA) has opened a multi-level Entrance Interchange involving 4 bridges and 11 ramps connecting Bryan Boulevard (future I-73) to PTI terminals.

Florence & Hutcheson is the Engineer of Record for the Design and Construction Plans for the $52 million project, involving complex interchange design within flight path, bridge designs, and 2.7 miles of new interconnecting roadway.

Bryan Boulevard was relocated to accommodate construction of a new runway and taxiway necessary to secure the commitment from FedEx to build its new 1 million sq. ft. Mid-Atlantic Air Cargo Hub – a major economic driver for the region.
