KY 121 Widening
Graves County, KY
Planning and design services for widening of KY 121 and construction of a new interchange with the Julian M. Carroll Parkway in Mayfield (1.6 miles). The project began by widening KY 121 from a rural roadway to a 5-lane urban facility with sidewalks and then transitioned from a 5-lane urban to a 2-lane rural section. A new diamond-type interchange, bridge with pedestrian sidewalks and pedestrian cages were designed for the Julian M. Carroll Parkway. Full, partial, and access by permit were used for access control on the project.
