Blue Springs, MS

The Mississippi Department of Transportation selected Florence & Hutcheson to provide engineering services for a 5.1 mile access road between US Hwy 78 and the new Toyota Manufacturing Plant Site. F&H work included the roadway design for the Toyota Frontage Road and the roadway and bridge design for modifications to Sherman and Blue Springs in Union and Pontotoc Counties.

The paved roadway varies from 2 lanes to 5 lanes, some portions having curb and gutter and others having open shoulders. The project also provides for traffic signals in the area extending from Union County Road 203 eastward to State Hwy 9 near Sherman, MS.

Florence & Hutcheson was responsible for providing engineering services consisting of Survey, Traffic Studies, Public Meetings, Preliminary Design, Final Roadway Design and Plans, Signing and Pavement Marking Plans, Maintenance of Traffic Plans, and Final Plan Development.

Florence & Hutcheson is currently under contract with MDOT to provide CE&I services on this project.
