Gary Hunt is Principal and Strategic Consultant with responsibilities for key project involvement with the firm’s Federal and Tennessee clients, and on other projects firmwide. He has extensive industry experience in various disciplines and geographic markets, and an established presence in the engineering field as a well-known and respected professional. He served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer for one of Engineering News Record’s ‘Top 100’ Design Firms. There, he championed the development and implementation of the strategic plan and expanded client services into new markets, including the aviation sector. He also served six years as managing partner of that company’s office in Nashville.
Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee. He also served the United States Corp of Engineers as part of the Army Combat Engineers as Sergeant E-5. He completed Basic and EIT training followed by a yearlong tour of duty in Korea. He was honorably discharged with the Army’s Distinguished Service Award.
