Stan King is Executive Vice President and Group Leader for Florence & Hutcheson operations in Tennessee and Arkansas. He has more than 18 years of engineering design and management experience. His current corporate responsibilities include developing and implementing service offerings for state agencies and building growth opportunities in Tennessee and other areas of the region. His operations responsibilities include oversight of three design offices and approximately thirty employees.

Since joining Florence & Hutcheson in 1991, Stan has served in many of our firm’s different service lines. He began his career as a bridge design engineer. In five years of service, he developed bridge designs for a variety of different span types and materials. Since that time, he has served as a roadway design engineer, surveyor, traffic engineer, transportation planner, and project manager of large multi-disciplined projects. These projects have included Signalized Intersection Designs, Interchange Studies (IMOD/IJS), Interchange Designs, Highway and Bridge Designs, Traffic Control Plans, Right-of-way Plans, and other engineering deliverables.

Stan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. He is a professional land surveyor in Mississippi and Tennessee, and a licensed professional engineer in Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Highway Engineers, and serves on the Transportation Committee of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Consulting Engineers Council.
