Robert Kelly, PE Joins F&H to Expand CE&I Operations

Florence & Hutcheson (F&H), a leading US-based civil engineering firm focused on Strengthening America’s Infrastructure, announced that Robert (Bob) Kelly, PE, has joined the firm to further expand the firm’s Construction Engineering & Inspection operations throughout the Southeast. With more than 25 years of civil and construction engineering experience, Kelly’s areas of specialization range from Construction Services and Program Management to CE&I and multi-state Design-Build projects.

According to F&H Chairman Ben Glunt, PE, Kelly brings the perfect combination of ethics, skill and experience to guide the firm’s CE&I program expansion.

His experience building strong business operations, promoting innovation and his laser focus on achieving client goals is consistent with our firm’s commitment to bring value on every project, every time. Our relationship with Bob goes back to our Southern Connector day’s (1998),” added Glunt. “We are very pleased to welcome him.”

Previously, Kelly was Southeast CE&I Regional Manager at Wilbur Smith Associates, Inc., where he was employed since 1989. His technical specialties include project supervision and administration for construction management and inspection services; implementation of contract plans and specifications; and Quality Control/Assurance on a wide variety of projects throughout the Southeast. Recently he served as Project Manager for the Design-Build project for the South Carolina Department of Transportation’s (SCDOT) Palmetto Parkway project in Aiken County.

Kelly holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Civil Engineering and Building Science from Auburn University, where his graduate study includes Construction Management. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida, where he served on the FICE Transportation Committee. In addition, he is a Construction and Materials subcommittee member of the South Carolina and North Carolina DOT American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
