Gary F. Hunt Joins Florence & Hutcheson As Principal and Strategic Consultant
Nashville, TN – Florence & Hutcheson, Inc. (F&H), a leading engineering firm focused on designing and strengthening America’s civil infrastructure, announced that Gary F. Hunt, PE, has joined the firm as a Principal and Strategic Consultant. According to Florence & Hutcheson Chairman Ben Glunt, Hunt joins the company in a leadership capacity and will be responsible for key project involvement with Federal and Tennessee clients, and in other markets firmwide.
“Gary brings so much to Florence & Hutcheson,” said Glunt. “He has amazing experience in varied disciplines and geographic markets. This experience is particularly important to our firm. He will serve Florence & Hutcheson well in this growth stage of our company’s evolution. He is a perfect fit.”
Hunt has an established presence in the engineering field as a well-known and respected professional. He served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer for one of Engineering News Record’s ‘Top 100’ Design Firms. There, he championed the development and implementation of the strategic plan and expanded client services into new markets, including the aviation sector. He also served six years as managing partner of that company’s office in Nashville. Following, he established the consulting firm, The Hunt Group.

Hunt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee. He also served the United States Corp of Engineers as part of the Army Combat Engineers as Sergeant E-5. He completed Basic and EIT training followed by a yearlong tour of duty in Korea. He was honorably discharged with the Army’s Distinguished Service Award.
