K0/F&H-Raleigh Wins NCDOT Prime Architectural & Engineering Award
Diamond Award Recognizes Commitment To Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
(Raleigh, NC) Ko & Associates Engineers are the first recipients of North Carolina’s Business Opportunity and Workforce Development Diamond Award for Prime Architectural and Engineering Firm. Presented to Warren Lamb, Managing Partner, the Diamond Award recognizes organizations that increase the success of North Carolina Department of Transportation’s programs aimed at developing small, minority, and women-owned businesses, as well as well as exemplifying the purpose and spirit of the program.
Ko was nominated for their work on the Right-of-Way plans for the proposed multi-level interchange for I-40 and I-77 in Iredell County. The firm worked in cooperation with two Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and NCDOT to meet an aggressive schedule while meeting and exceeding major milestones.
The Diamond Award was presented at the 2009 NCDOT Transportation Conference held at the McKimmon Center at NC State University. This was the first year that the awards have been presented.
Ko and Associates, P.C. is a civil engineering firm located in Raleigh that merged with Florence & Hutcheson, Inc January 1, 2009.
